I posted this on Elton John’s birthday 25th March 2025. Elton is my favourite singer and I’m so grateful the past couple of years when in 2022, Elton picked me as one of two winners for his competition to cover his song ‘Cold Heart’ and I got tickets to see his concert in Barcelona 2023. Me and my family got to see my favourite songs played live and it was incredible! I chose this song to post today for multiple reasons. I started listening to Elton in December 2019 and so during the lockdown in 2020, I was always searching for and listening to his songs and I came across this one in April 2020 and fell in love with it. I think the orchestra is beautiful and I couldn’t wait to perform it once the lockdown was over. I almost got the chance to perform it in June 2020 on a livestream karaoke to our friends and family as someone requested I play it but we didn’t have time. 5 years later, I have never been able to perform it but today I am posting this music video. We filmed it last year on 31st March 2024 at the Grand Canyon. I knew I wanted to film two music videos when we visited here because of the stunning scenery and I already had the first song in mind, but when it came to the second song, I had to think. I then remembered about this song I learnt 4 years prior and thought the location would match perfectly! I hope you enjoy my violin cover of one of my favourite songs Indian Sunset by Elton John.
