Playing violin at NAMM! (Biggest music show in the world!) - NAMM Day 2
This is day 2 at the NAMM Show and the violin exploration continues. I spend the day walking the floor, trying out different violins, testing electric models, and seeing some of the most interesting instruments at the show! One of the highlights was getting to perform improvised duets with Raphael Batista on Volta electric violins, it was so much fun! The sound of the Volta violins is very different from a traditional acoustic violin and they have built in reverb! While exploring the show yesterday, I also came across something unusual - a 3D printed violin. After trying it out and learning more about it, I ended up buying it, adding my 8th violin to my collection! The NAMM Show is one of the biggest music gear events in the world, and it’s an amazing place to discover new violin technology, electric violins, and unique instruments. From violin demos to live playing and testing new gear, there’s always something interesting happening around the show floor. If you're interested in violins, electric violins, violin performances, and seeing new instruments from the NAMM Show, this video gives a look at what it’s like to try different violins and play music at one of the biggest music industry events. Let me know in the comments what you think of the electric violins and the 3D printed violin.
